Every Contract y which anyone is restrained from excercising a lawful profession, trade or busiiness of any kind, is to that extent void. IF it precents a legal businessm, trade or profession from carrying out business it is not enforceable. One of the following exceptions: (1) employees position should be esential to organization or anagement of business (2) agreeent should be limited to certain types f commercial dealings (3) agreement is associated with a business sale (4) agreement is limited to specific geographic location and restraint is for not more than 2 years (5) the agreement to prevent a former employee from soliciting the companys current customers and restraint plaed does not exceed 18 months or (6) agreement between partners in the event thier business is dissolved to prohibit each other from conductcing similar business for certain period of time in a specified geographic area.
